12/1/11 TEETH!!
We have been teaching Kylie how to brush her teeth for quite awhile now, but as time goes on she seems to love it more and more. Recently we have begun brushing teeth a couple times each night. I think she loves the taste of her toothpaste and its a fun activity she likes to do with me. Whenever we go past the bathroom Kylie rushes in pushes her step stool up to the sink and grabs her toothbrush. The next part is kind of gross because she often starts scrubbing the drain of the sink with her brush.... I recently sterilized the sink with bleach because it was grossing me out and I thought that might help. After I dash in to stop her from covering her brush with germs she then asks for toothpaste, but she refuses to start brushing her teeth until I start brushing to. She stands and points at my toothbrush and commands me to brush by saying "TEETH!" After brushing is over then she gets excited for her fluoride but you have to be careful when you give it to her because she like to play a game. When the fluoride dropper gets close to her mouth she will lunge out and try to bite it as hard as she can. Well got to go. I think Kylie wants to brush again...

Cute post!! Those are the kinds of things you're gonna miss when she grows up and starts kicking you out of the bathroom, so enjoy them while you can :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know whether this will help or not, but you could try giving her a second brush that is only for scrubbing the sink or whatever her heart desires (if it's not hurting anything). Maybe that will help her learn that her toothbrush is for teeth only?
